Xorg configuration file for 8 bit true color mode

I don't have a separate X Font Server process, so I don't know whether Font/XFS is the correct category.

The color around where the text is rendered is altered in most color combinations of background and text.
This is visible at 8bit color depth, true color mode.
I have not tested other color depths.

Tested as built in to Xorg
X Window System Version 7.1.1
Debian Etch

Attached is an X configuration file which can be used like
X :1 -ac -config XConfiguration-8Bit.txt

My X Server is a SPARC Ultra 2 (64bit big endian) using the FBDev driver.

Is this an issue with the vesa driver, or any other driver?

Mass closure: This bug has been untouched for more than six years, and is not obviously still valid. Please file a new report if you continue to experience issues with a current server.
