xorg.conf, without comments
it seems that i succeeded downgrading all relevant x packages to ones available in slackware 12.0 - and the problem is gone. so this probably is a regression. the problem still there with xorg-server 1.4.2 and kernel upgraded to 2.6.25.9 (which fixes some optimisation bug, in case that would have changed anything). i tried 2.6.26.3 and disabled previously enabled framebuffer - that did not help. isn't there any debugging i could perform ? as suggested in #xorg, i disabled both compositing & aiglx. that did not help as suggested in #xorg, i started up plain x (with xinit). i run 'top' in xterm window, and continuously selected text in that window. X proxess cpu load rose to 40% Mass closure: This bug has been untouched for more than six years, and is not obviously still valid. Please file a new report if you continue to experience issues with a current server. |
