OE is using git now as well. http://cgit.openembedded.net/cgit.cgi/openembedded/tree/recipes/xorg-xserver I'd appreciate a pointer if you pull one of the patches so that I can document the status in OE. Right now, nobody really knows which patches need to be sent upstream and which don't. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
