Description Rolf Leggewie 2008-05-08 20:26:31 UTC
Hi,

thank you for sharing your work in xorg-xserver. Openembedded.org includes
recipes to cross-compile xorg-xserver for a large number of target devices.

I would like to make you aware of some of the changes that we at the
openembedded.org project did to the sources you publish.

  Patch: http://www.openembedded.org/repo/org.openembedded.dev/packages/xorg-xserver/xserver-kdrive-git/w100-autofoo.patch
Comment: w100-autofoo.patch was necessary for successful cross-compilation.

You can find all our patches for xorg-xserver at
http://www.openembedded.org/filebrowser/org.openembedded.dev/packages/xorg-xserver/

Thank you again for your work.

Regards

Rolf Leggewie

Thanks, but w100-autofoo.patch just adds the autotools support for some
Xw100 server, which I've never heard of, and doesn't impact
cross-compilation at all.

reopening.

OE is using git now as well.

http://cgit.openembedded.net/cgit.cgi/openembedded/tree/recipes/xorg-xserver

I'd appreciate a pointer if you pull one of the patches so that I can document the status in OE. Right now, nobody really knows which patches need to be sent upstream and which don't.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Mass closure: This bug has been untouched for more than six years, and is not
obviously still valid. Please reopen this bug or file a new report if you continue to experience issues with current releases.
