Hi, my name is Filippo Argiolas, I've been accepted for Google Summer of Code 2008. My project aim is to create a set of opengl based gstreamer plugins to provide Cheese (and of course every other app that will want to use them) with a new set of gpu accelerated effects.
The project is mentored by Daniel Siegel and GNOME is my mentoring organization.

I can provide the full proposal or any additional info if needed.
I'd like to work on gstreamer-gl adding GLSL (and maybe assembly) shaders support and creating some filter element to implement the effects.
David Schleef already agreed on irc to give me direct access to gstreamer-gl cvs, so here I am asking for an account.
I hope I didn't forget anything, I've provided just a brief summary on the subject of my work, feel free to ask me anything more.

Seems my key was affected by debian openssl bug, so please replace it with new one!
I've tried the automated way mailing change@db.freedesktop.org but it doesn't work maybe because the key is too long.
