Description Pablo Rodríguez 2008-06-14 09:42:03 UTC
poppler-0.6.3 (using cairo-1.5.10) is not able to display the font in the attached file.

acroread 7 and xpdf-3.02 display the font fine.

$ pdffonts o.pdf
name type emb sub uni object ID
------------------------------------ ----------------- --- --- --- ---------
ENBDGA+Rough_Typewriter-Identity-H   CID Type 0C       yes yes yes      5  0

Has it been fixed in poppler-0.8? (I cannot install it right now.)

Thanks for your excellent work,

Pablo

Can you attach a screenshot of what you get on both acroread and xpdf?

I was wrong. xpdf-3.02 is not able to display the font. The font itself is to be found at http://www.dafont.com/rough-typewriter.font and I generated the PDF file with XeLaTeX.

I hope it helps. Thanks,

Pablo

I'd say the PDF or the font itself is broken, see what acroread 8.1.2 renders, it's completely different of your acroread 7 output

I guess the font is broken, since I suspected that it might have been caused by XeTeX, but embedding the font with cairo-1.6.4 seems to have the same problems.

Could you check whether the attached document has rendering issues in acroread 8? It is wrong rendered using acroread 7.

Thanks,

Pablo
