Xorg.log
Nouveau git, Gentoo ~x86, lastest xorg(1.5 RC6). No problem, only slow speed of Xv. The video looks similar to a problem that was fixed 2 days ago or so. okias: slower than before? If so, can you you bisect it to find the commit where it got slower? I before never tried Xv on this card (except test this bug), but NV04 (TNT2 32MB M64) speed looks better than NV11 (GeForce 2 MX-200, 64MB).. P.S. Exist any benchmark of Xv speed? > P.S. I once tried benchmarking Xv on a 5200 (NV34) and a 6200A (NV4A). I played exactly 1 second of Elephants_Dream_HD with
mplayer, trying every driver (nouveau, nv, nvidia) and every port (blitter, texture, etc.) I still have the results, if anyone
is interested. The command I used was:
mplayer "/mnt/hda2/Elephants_Dream_HD.avi" -benchmark -endpos 00:01:00 -nosound -fs -vo xv:port=122 # NV4A texture nouveau
Only the binary blob was able to play 1080p video at acceptable speed (so far).
