Added your data to http://wiki.x.org/wiki/RadeonProgram . Your chipset is in the r500 column. My guess on Guild Wars and most of the Steam/Source games is that they need GLSL, although I'm not certain. Are there any warnings, fallbacks, or errors in the console output? Also are you sure that Wine is loading OpenGL correctly? TuxRacer works fine for me. Which version of Mesa are you using? i will answer laster for first part of your question. about mesa: [axet@axet-laptop ~]$ rpm -qa|grep mesa mesa-libGLU-7.1-0.37.fc9.i386 mesa-libGLU-devel-7.1-0.37.fc9.i386 mesa-libGL-7.1-0.37.fc9.i386 mesa-dri-drivers-7.1-0.37.fc9.i386 mesa-libGL-devel-7.1-0.37.fc9.i386 [axet@axet-laptop ~]$ tux got 18 fps on my X1600. glxgear got 2400 fps Created attachment 17649 [details]

TuxRace (extremetuxracer-0.4-1.fc9.i386) work slow on map Pratice/Doing (8fps), and work good on race Practice "Who says penguins can't fly?" (80 fps) I'm getting a solid 60 fps (vsync enabled) with everything cranked up in etracer. Is your driver version 6.8.x or 6.9.x? You should try and make sure that's up to date. I wonder if there are any Apple-specific HW issues here... first post assigned to 6.8, then 6.9 and now i'm at git version. same issues... for 6.11 guild wars wont to start. i close this bug i open new two bugs about tuxracer and guildwars. i think current bug is 'invalid', for 6.11. |
