Description Luca Bruno 2008-08-05 05:14:06 UTC
Hello,
I've tried to shutdown the network then I heard my CPU increasing its speed.
With 'top' I've seen that telepathy-gabble was using almost 100% of CPU.

Debian GNU/Linux lenny/unstable
telepathy-gabble version 0.7.6
gnome 2.22.3

Reproducing: shutdown networking from the network-manager gnome applet.

Might be related to bug #16754.

No clue, the steps to reproduce are different but the outcome seems the same.

An easy way to check is to strace telepathy-gabble. If the busy loop is due to I/O calls returning EAGAIN, it's most likely the same issue (and I can rest assured that bug is not Maemo-specific).

No information forthcoming from reporter. Assuming this is one of the Loudmouth socket handling bugs.
