As in $subject. There are no problems at all with SD video, the overlay adaptor is wonderful :)

Relevant versions: xserver-xorg 7.3 (Debian lenny), mplayer r27531 (manually compiled), xf86-video-nouveau f8c0af3, novueau's drm 31709aa.

Before anyone blame Composite, it is disabled on my xorg.conf.

A 4MB sample is attached; the problem is more noticeable on the horizontal scroll scene.

I tested the sample video on different players and settings, and they all yelded the same results: xv shows frames from the past, creating jerkiness.

Testedo on: mplayer -vo xv, mplayer -vo sdl, ffplay, vlc and xine-ui.

Danny, I don't think it is related; that guy is having problems with the blitter, not with the overlay. Also, my videos doesn't have a higher fps than the display; they're all progressive ntsc.

one or two days ago, somebody reported the overlay actually not working at all on nv18gl with current git. Can you confirm this?

Sorry for the long delay in the answer... Yes, I get only a blue screen if I use the Overlay; the Blitter is fine.

Btw, he jittering problem also happens on the Blitter when CPU usage is topping, like just after starting or unpausing a video; but returns to normal shortly afterwards.

It appears that this bug report has laid dormant for quite a while. Sorry we haven't gotten to it. Since we fix bugs all the time, chances are pretty good that your issue has been fixed with the latest software. Please give it a shot. (Linux kernel 3.10.7, xf86-video-nouveau 1.0.9, mesa 9.1.6, or their git versions.) If upgrading to the latest isn't an option for you, your distro's bugzilla is probably the right destination for your bug report.
