When logged in as a normal user (not an administrator) the PolicyKit authentication window's dropdown box defaults to "Select user...", prompting the user to select an administrator account to use from the dropdown. However, despite "Select user..." not being a valid user, (the Password box is, in fact, greyed out when this is selected) the Authenticate button remains sensitive. When it is clicked, it fails silently, only showing an error message about 30 seconds later.
