After using Packagekit for a while, one of the few things I miss from Synaptic is the ability to see newly included packages. This is enormously useful when using a development release of Ubuntu, because it lets you see which new stuff is available.

Packagekit should offer a way to see new stuff, either on its main window or in the update manager.

Sensible, I guess we could include a metagroup of "newest" that can be provided to the frontend. I'm not sure it makes sense to see the "newest" update, as we can already sort these by issue date. Could you please email the mailing list and get some feedback and ideas from other people? Thanks.

I've sent a mail to the mailing list.

Sorry for the impersonal message, and fingers crossed your issue no longer happens. Thanks.
