Description Ge@@ru 2008-11-30 12:54:51 UTC
I update my xcb library to version 1.1.92, with xorg-server version 1.5.3 and libX11 version 1.1.99.2.
But now i have errors on start a lot of application (glxinfo, openoffice, etc.).

Error is relative to libX11 and file xcb_io.c:
> glxinfo: _XReply: Assertion `!dpy->xcb->reply_data' failed

and so compiz or other programs that use accerations seems doesn't work.

Anyone had already see this error?

To start my openoffice i comment temporary row about assertion of the error message but it's a temporary workaraound for work with my documents. However, this solution doesn't work with glx that return

x11 # glxinfo
name of display: :0.0
Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual or fbconfig

My arch is 64bit and my distro is Gentoo.

Could be a problem with new implementation of xcb library?

Thanks in advance for help.

With last version of xorg-server from git (so after 1.5.99.2) this problem is fixed.

Thanks

Bye
