You need to cherry-pick 0b56b44addc323a00eb7cd86240cb0dd4275bcf8. (In reply to comment #1) > You need to cherry-pick 0b56b44addc323a00eb7cd86240cb0dd4275bcf8. > Thanks for the quick reply, but I've had no luck cherry-picking that commit onto 1.5.3. I am certainly no git expert, but figured I should clone xserver then checkout xorg-server-1.5.3. When cherry-picking, I get: [pkgbuild@silentgnu xserver]$ git cherry-pick 0b56b44addc323a00eb7cd86240cb0dd4275bcf8 Auto-merged hw/xfree86/common/xf86Globals.c CONFLICT (content): Merge conflict in hw/xfree86/common/xf86Globals.c Automatic cherry-pick failed. After resolving the conflicts, mark the corrected paths with 'git add <paths>' or 'git rm <paths>' and commit the result. When commiting, use the option '-c 0b56b44' to retain authorship and message. What should I do? I also don't understand why this wasn't added to the 1.5 branch, since the patch is from 2008-10-22, and 1.5.3 was released in November; was this manifestation of the bug not known before? Thanks. http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewvc/rpms/xorg-x11-server/F-10/xserver-1.5.3-AEI-on-by-default.patch?revision=1.1&view=markup this one should apply cleanly. > I also don't understand why this wasn't added to the 1.5 branch, since the > patch is from 2008-10-22, and 1.5.3 was released in November; was this > manifestation of the bug not known before? It was, but missed out on the cherry pick for no reason other than forgetfulness on my behalf. The patch works perfectly. Thanks :-). |
