Description mike 2008-12-03 16:02:08 UTC
Intrepid 8.10
Motherboard D945GCLF2 (mini-itx platform)
s-video decoder - ch7021a
graphics chipset - 945G
xserver-xorg-video-intel (2:2.4.1-1ubuntu10.1)

It is indicated at intellinuxgraphics.org, that the current xserver drivers work with the S-video port. This is not the case. It boots up o.k., but upon getting into the desktop, the TV screen rolls, like it's lost vertical sync. The bug can easily be reproduced by using a live CD and booting to it (intrepid 8.10). In 8.04, I believe it's just a black screen, and upon installing i810 drivers, the desktop is o.k. right up until you try to play a video, then the screen loses it again. This is also the case with 7.10.

More details can be found here.

Integrated TV-out is supported, but as http://intellinuxgraphics.org/community_testing.html says: "SDVO TV-out not supported", and the fix is ongoing.

Unfortunately your board uses SDVO TV-out.

Dup with 17776, should also be 9992.
