Encountered with the qvwm window manager: when the Composite extension is enabled (which is the case in the default install, AFAICT) no images are displayed. Probably other applications using "imlib" (the old one, not imlib2) are affected.

Note that apparently the image mask works, but the colour planes are not
filled (seem to be random leftovers). The logo, especially the flag shows this.
The buttons on the xclock frame are also empty (I guess the borders are drawn
by code, the content, from a png file, is missing).

Turns out to be a problem in imlib not being able to handle ARGB visuals.
