xorg.conf with intel driver

I'm working with a Asus eee top 1602, using a ubuntu 8.10 (kubuntu flavour ) the Pc have a "Intel Corporation Mobile 945GME Express Integrated Graphics Controller rev 3", a flap panel incorporated without other visible video outputs.
When I start the X server (X.Org X Server 1.5.2) with the intel driver (2.4.1-1ubuntu10 or 2.5.99.1 or git version at 2008-12-24) the server start Ok ( I can hear the startup sound of Desktop and I stop it with Ctrl-Alt-backspace) but the screen is black.

with the vesa driver work fine (without acceleration).

I try with opensuse 11 with the same problem.

I found the same problem in others forums:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=992882

Thanks in advance

The SDVO LVDS used by eee top 1602 is not supported in current driver. The support is in the plan.
Dup with bug#18889.
