This is a spinoff from bug 14096.

Some people, who never use Caps Lock, believe that there is a better use for that key, and that use is the Backspace function. Since this shouldn't really be layout specific (as it happenned with a layout in bug 14096), I suggest to add an appropriate XKB configuration option to achieve this with any layout.
