Description John Pankov 2009-01-14 06:57:13 UTC
OS & Packages:

Ubuntu Hardy 8.04.1
hal 0.5.11-4ubuntu4
xinput 1.3.0-1ubuntu3
xkb-data 1.3-2ubuntu4.2
xserver-xorg 1:7.3+10ubuntu10

Bug summary:

Arrow keys, Insert, Home, PageUp, PageDown, Delete, End buttons are mapped to invalid functions (e.g. Up arrow is mapped to PrtScr)

Modifications of xorg.cong keyboard sections doesn't affect keyboard behavior as the settings are dispatched to X from HAL.

Downgrading hal to 0.5.11~rc2-1ubuntu7 solves the problem.

I'm seeing the same problem when using Xdmx, but not straight X.

X.Org Server 1.7.99.1 (Git Commit 25344ba7f7845654364d62bf15322b3b79465bd9)
HAL 0.5.12_rc1-r8
