Description gfl3162+xbugzilla 2009-01-23 17:59:42 UTC
I am on an Intel 865G graphics chipset, and it is very unstable if "Legacy3D" "Off" is not entered in xorg.conf. I get corrupt graphics, random lines on the screen, and random crashes. With legacy3d off, with exa, and with "migrationheuristic" "greedy", everything works fine and runs smoothly.

OS: Gentoo Linux
Chipset: 865G
Arch: i686
Versions:
   xf86-video-intel-2.5.1-r1
   xorg-server-1.5.3-r1
   mesa-7.3
   libdrm-2.4.4
Kernel Version: 2.6.28-gentoo-r1

To reproduce bug:
1. install xorg with default settings with X -configure xorg.conf
2. start gnome or kde or any other de
3. run glxgears

Legacy3D is now no longer an option (always off) in the current driver.
