[Problem]
When performing xrandr operations, screen immediately displays an oval "tie-dye" like corruption pattern.  This is seen both with AccelMethod UXA and NoAccel options.

[Original Report]
Screen corruption on xrandr --output LVDS --mode 1024x768.
Clone mode does not work either.

This happens on i855GM in Jaunty.

I've asked Arne to retest yesterday and provide the Xorg.0.log with ModeDebug on.

should be a dup.. pls reopen if the mentioned patch or master later than 3aa8591abfbe8db0f13912910c850fdd748808df doesn't work for him...
