Attached a screenshot of the rendering, also showing how gv renders it, which is what it should look like.
Most obvious is the corners/sides, but the entire faceplate is also oddly striped.

Created attachment 23141 [details] PDF showing a Sandisk Sansa E200, which renders badly The attached document (an image with plenty of gradients and other fun) renders quite oddly in evince, whereas gv and adobe's viewer renders it as planned. Apologies for the vague summary, but I've no idea how to classify this rendering issue. Using evince 2.22.2 (Debian unstable) and poppler 0.8.7.
