So we cannot expose in the UI that the file transfer has been canceled before the receiving side tries to accept the transfer.

As said on IRC, that's a limitation of the OOB [1] protocol. Maybe we should try to design an extension solving this issue?

Hi Folks,

Can anyone help with this? 

Its blocking an important feature for file transfer on Sugar. This is going to be an important feature for the Gardner Pilot Academy pilot in Boston this fall.
