Error: Cairo 1.4.10 does not yet support the requested image format:

Psuedocolor support was added in cairo-1.6. It is strongly recommended that you upgrade to the latest stable version (currently cairo-1.8.6). Google should be able to find binaries for AIX/ppc and please ask your distributor to update their version of cairo in the base install.
