Steps to reproduce:

-Install Phoronix Testsuite -1.8.1
-Install ut2004-demo
-Run ut2004-demo

Observations:

The game starts and hangs immediately. After some amount of time we can see the results along with the below errors:

This problem, not observed on Ubuntu-8.10

I think this should be fixed in mesa from git master.  Although some have said afd687b0dcf9ac842b4c4832247c6ffe5cc844b1 causes problems.
