Description Nikolaos Anastopoulos 2009-05-22 21:45:56 UTC
When option "R4xxATOM" is enabled on the xorg.conf, along with the option "ATOMTVOut" for enabling the TV-Out port, TV-Out is not working. Every other thing seems to work fine (S-video reports connected, desktop size is extended, mouse pointer "disappears" towards the extended desktop), but there is no image on the TV.

Disabling option "R4xxATOM", while keeping option "ATOMTVOut" enabled, makes TV-Port working as expected.

If this was the intended behaviour, it is not documented on RADEON.4 manual page.

The driver used was xf86-video-ati 6.12.2 on Ubuntu jaunty pinned from karmic.

Nikolaos Anastopoulos, Ubuntu Karmic reached EOL on April 30, 2011. For more on this, please see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases.

If this is reproducible in a supported release, it will help immensely if you filed a new report with Ubuntu by ensuring you have the package xdiagnose installed, and that you click the Yes button for attaching additional debugging information running the following from a terminal:
ubuntu-bug xorg

Also, please feel free to subscribe me to it.
