Description Naheem Zaffar 2005-01-04 15:27:21 UTC
Currently on Fedora Core 3, to change the monitor settings graphically, the
utility xvidtune must be used (or the monitor settings manually changed on the
monitor, but this is not feasible on a dual boot set-up where linux is the
backup system).

Currently I either have to reapply the settings each time x starts through xvid
tune, or manually enter the settings into xorg.conf.

Solution: place a save button on the GUI, allowing a line to be added to the
xorg file as a modeline.

apparently if xvidtune is started from xterm the show button drops this line
into xterm, to be copied and pasted into place.

Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future.

This bug hasn't been touched in ages and there aren't many people that seem to care about this feature. Closing as NTBF. If you want this support, I'd merge a patch for you.
