Whats the status of this bug using a current version of xorg? Well, a year has passed, and the computer doesn't have the same distro. Now it has Kubuntu and everything seems to work perfectly. After months I discovered that the problem had to do with Kernel Framebuffer driver. If the kernel framebuffer was set to use a different resolution than x.org then the corruption appeared. I solved the issue setting kernel's framebuffer to 1024x768 (the same that x.org was using). Maybe it's now solved, or maybe the kernel framebuffer driver has changed and it doesn't happen anymore. I can't give any more information, because as I said, the laptop doesn't have anymore the same distro and configuration that caused the issue. closing this bug due to the inability to debug the issue further. Please reopen if the problem persists. |
