Description Arseny Klimovsky 2009-06-16 13:23:39 UTC
Sometimes (in practically every application) black rectangles appear on different places. When push PrintScr button, they disappear. So I can only show a foto of the screen. http://launchpadlibrarian.net/26498708/IMG_9276.JPG Previously I used Ubuntu 8.04 and packages from https://launchpad.net/~tormodvolden/+archive/ppa and everything worked correctly. Rather unusual that this is happening under ShadowFB. Can you enable EXA acceleration and see if it occurs there? Add Option "DRI" Option "AccelMethod" "EXA" to the Device section of your xorg.conf
Comment 2 Arseny Klimovsky 2009-06-17 00:48:33 UTC
When I enabled the EXA acceleration the bug does not occur anymore.
Comment 3 Rafał Miłecki 2009-06-23 03:09:47 UTC
This may be similar to http://www.phoronix.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17680 Can you try Option "UnverifiedFeatures" "Off"

I have a similar problem, but on another platform: Architecture: intel x86-32 Video: Intel GM965/GL960 It is really difficult to take a screenshot!

Does this issue occur with the preferred ati driver (xf86-vide-ati)? If so, please move this to the Driver/Radeon component. Development of radeonhd has pretty much halted and development focus is on the ati driver. Please see http://www.x.org/wiki/radeonhd If the issue does not exist in the ati driver (or if there is no response to this message), this bug will be closed as WONTFIX unless someone contributes a patch.
Comment 7 Jeremy Huddleston Sequoia 2011-11-07 15:32:35 UTC
Closing due to lack of response. Please reopen and move to the Driver/Radeon component if this issue persists with xf86-video-ati
