Description Paulo Dias 2009-07-06 11:04:58 UTC
with my lvds display i cant have any modes besides the default one, i can add and set them using xrandr, but the monitor section in xorg.conf doesnt work (correct since X tries to find the modes and find none).

rs485, latest mesa/ddx/drm from today with xorg-server 1.6.99.1+git20090705.fd4eed69-0~padoka1 (groo@kerberos)

i believe scaled modes arent implemented yet?

best regards

Scaled modes should work, however, the code to add non-native modes to lvds panels by default has not been ported to kms yet. You can still manually add the modes using xrandr. radeon_add_common_modes() in radeon_modes.c needs to be ported to kms.

latest linus tree 2.6.32-rcX plus mesa/ddx/drm for git fixed this. closing.
