At least on my Radeon 9550 (RV350), disabling the XAA Offscreen Pixmaps by default (as done by commit 0c6987df3b9b3a37d201d740d8248c326449835e) causes bad performance. Basic things are slow - like drawing the desktop wallpaper at KDE startup - I can clearly see how it draws from top of the screen to the bottom.

Enabling XAA Ofscreen Pixmaps again (Option "XaaOffscreenPixmaps" "on") fixes that.

And no, EXA does not make it better. EXA is slow no matter what I do.
