No, I don't think that is particularly useful. If you can argue why anyone would want that and supply a patch, maybe you might be able to go somewhere. =/ I think such an option could be useful. For example if some applications/libraries are hiding the mouse cursor this could really get annoying (I noticed such a case in GTK+ and they rejected a request to add an option for their case). But also in some cases hiding the mouse cursor could be wanted (likely on fullscreen videos etc.). Probably such an option would then also require a blacklist and a whitelist based on different categories. From my personal view I would probably disable changing the mouse cursor in general except for any fullscreen application (fullscreen enough to also remove the title bar from the window manager like games). |
