Xorg.0.log
would you please attach xorg.log with option modedebug true in xorg.conf, and xrandr output? Will you please also attach the output of vbios dump? thanks. (In reply to comment #3) > Will you please also attach the output of vbios dump? > thanks. > Hi, Unfortunately I do not have this computer right now. I will get it back in the end of august or beginning of september. I will come back with the requested information then. copied from launchpad bugzilla: --- Jonas Haraldsson wrote on 2009-07-10: After restoring xorg.conf to default (removing virtual resolution), X-Server / GDM works again. Now changing resolution of the external display works without problems, even with System -> Preferences -> Appearance -> Visual Effects: normal. But the other problem remains, that xrandr does not work (nothing happens). I attach Xorg.0.log and Xorg.0.log.old agagin. --- this doesn't look like a driver bug... "xrandr --output VGA --mode 1280x1024" output name is changed to VGA1 in KMS ... I found this in your downstream post. I run into similar senario this morning myself and just realized you probably made the same "mistake"... |
