I started using xdg-screensaver in my application and found the utility to not work as expected in several aspects. I just reported the following bug, hoping that it gets necessary attention. "xdg-screensaver suspend" Can Cause Screen Burn-in When Display Never Sleeps Anymore: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23119 Thanks. So, at the moment there are 6 bugs opened. Two of them, 7725 and 7734 are tests quite old, from 2006. I would simply close them as obsolete. 13435 is about thunderbird, a patch is attached and can be closed too. The bugs remaining are: Bug 16295 - xdg-open is inconsistent across desktop environments Bug 21920 - xdg-desktop-menu install does not remove "Deleted" entries Bug 23119 - "xdg-screensaver suspend" Can Cause Screen Burn-in When Display Never Sleeps Anymore which I don't consider critical. What do you think? To release or not to release, that is the question. Do you agree postponing 16295, 21920 and 23119 for 1.2?? (In reply to comment #3) > Do you agree postponing 16295, 21920 and 23119 for 1.2?? #16295 and #21920 are postponed. I even wonder why 21920 is a blocker bug... #23119 is important but we won't posptone xdg-utils 1.1.0 anymore. The last rc release was back in February. The only bugs have either been discounted or are old test bugs. What is left to do to finish 1.1.0? As far as I'm concerned 1.1.0 is close to ready... I'll add a few bugs that have had activity and potential patches, help triaging, reviewing, committing where it makes sense would be appreciated. 1.1.0 has been released so I'm closing this. |
