Huh, weird. This works fine on Fedora (through GFileMonitor). Any idea what might be different on Debian? Does GFileMonitor work? (try gvfs-monitor) I remember some conversation on IRC where Michael couldn't reproduce this bug. It's probably due to misconfiguration of the system where the original bug report is from. Closing for now.
