I have the same problem with the Matrox G450 card (dual vga out, separate connectors) and the latest matrox 4.4 HAL driver and x.org 7.0 in Debian/testing. I can change the Gamma only on screen 0 This also applies if I use the merged-fb mode *** Bug 9847 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=166413 Looks we've no luck here Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future. We need more info on this: - does it still happen with recent Xorg ? aka, any X >= 1.5 - are you using Xinerama or Xrandr ? in case of Xinerama, see bug 30326 . Or, maybe even an other aproach ? If Xrandr, you should use the xrandr command to change gamma, not xgamma. - wee need your xorg.conf and X log. This bug heavily depends on your configuration. How heads are adressed. In most case, please close this bug as needinfo, or cantrepro. I have been using Matrox and multi-head long enough to know that, the old bugs from 2005 are now "deprecated". Mass closure: This bug has been untouched for more than six years, and is not obviously still valid. Please reopen this bug or file a new report if you continue to experience issues with current releases. |
