rv790_corruption_opengl_on
kde task bar tabs are meant to be gray, not blue. often the inner part of the application tab box is black, rather than dark gray as in this attachment. this corruption comes and goes as you refocus windows, sometimes back to normal for some application tabs, sometimes not. there is no trigger per se, it occurs pretty quickly after startup with normal use.
Is this with kms? non-kms? Can you attach your xorg log and dmesg? (In reply to comment #2) > Is this with kms? non-kms? Can you attach your xorg log and dmesg? > with kms. Created attachment 31626 [details]

rv790_corruption_opengl_on_example2
another opengl example showing the kde clock with an incorrect orange box background.
Does it happen with non-kms too? (In reply to comment #7) > Does it happen with non-kms too? > can't recreate today with nomodeset for gl effects on or off. suggests the issue is kms only. Is this still an issue with a newer kernel? no, cannot reproduce on latest d-r-t. closing. |

Created attachment 31612 [details] rv790_corruption_composite_off git mesa/libdrm/ddx. rv790 rendering corruptions are seen with opengl, xrender or completely disabled composite (worse with composite off). has been like this since I first got my rv790. suggests perhaps something specific to this card or card series. apparently not seen/no reports on r600 (airlied).
