Created attachment 32478 [details] [review] patch I'm not surprised automake-1.11 doesn't like libtelepathy; neither do we :-P libtelepathy is a heavily deprecated predecessor of telepathy-glib, and while your patch looks fine, I hope not to make any more libtelepathy releases, which would mean it'll never get into a release. What pieces of software still need it, and can we help them not to? We've successfully got rid of Mission Control 4 and libtelepathy from Debian testing/unstable (<http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=558144>) and from Ubuntu >= karmic, and I'd encourage other distributions to act similarly; Mission Control 5 and telepathy-glib are the recommended replacements. Then jhbuild has old depedencies (sid)elmarco@marc-desktop:~$ jhbuild rdepends libtelepathy telepathy-mission-control empathy nautilus-sendto gnome-bluetooth gnome-user-share phonemgr empathy-webkit Do you think all those projects use telepathy-glib? telepathy-mission-control >= 5 and Empathy >= 2.28 no longer need libtelepathy. I hope that the other projects just pick up the libtelepathy dependency transitively from old versions of Empathy (which in turn pick it up from version 4 of MC). All of those packages exist in Debian squeeze, except possibly phonemgr (which I suspect just has a different name there), without needing libtelepathy. -- GitLab Migration Automatic Message -- This bug has been migrated to freedesktop.org's GitLab instance and has been closed from further activity.
