Description avs 2010-02-01 10:58:52 UTC
I am using the IRC protocol plugin for Conversations and Contacts from http://maemo.org/packages/view/account-plugin-idle/ on Nokia N900 running software version 2.2009.51-1. Other non-factory-installed plugins I use include a plugin for MSN. I am reporting this bug here as per the instructions on the abovementioned page.

I am using the IRC plugin to connect to an irssi-proxy 0.8.9 (irssi 0.8.10) over TLS with a server password set.

Irssi is running under screen and maintaining the connection and keeping me on some channels. I use several different IRC clients to connect to it, mainly XChat (2.8.6 on Mac OS X).

It seems that when irssi-proxy signals the IRC plugin that it's actually on some channels, it promptly responds with MODE and then PART commands for the channels it's on.

This is the IRC protocol conversation I'm seeing (slightly edited to protect identities). The QUIT at the end is a result of me turning the plugin off on the N900.

And it seems that I missed this the first time I searched whether this was already reported. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24273#c3 has discussion on this already. Sorry.
