Description Pawel Salek 2005-03-07 00:56:34 UTC
I have a flat panel 1280x1024 connected via DVI. Everything is fine as long as
the resolution is 1280x1024. However, when I start a game that tries to switch
the resolution to different or just press Ctrl-Alt-+, the screen switches the
resolution but there is major jittering in the middle part of the screen.

When I connect the flat panel via the analog cable, all resolutions work fine.

The graphics card is ATI8500LE- if that matters.
Comment 2 Alex Deucher 2005-03-07 06:40:15 UTC
can you try the displaypriority options and see if they help? See the radeon
man page for more.

Xorg.log with DisplayPriority HIGH

No, it does not help - the tearing is still there. I attach Xorg.log with
DisplayPriority set to HIGH - I hope it will provide some hints.

Does #1129 or http://suif.stanford.edu/~csapuntz/rv280-linux-dvi.html help you
at all?
