The graphics card is ATI8500LE- if that matters. can you try the displaypriority options and see if they help? See the radeon man page for more. Created attachment 2033 [details]
Xorg.log with DisplayPriority HIGH
No, it does not help - the tearing is still there. I attach Xorg.log with
DisplayPriority set to HIGH - I hope it will provide some hints.
