Nouveau seems unable to drive the LVDS on this laptop.

Nothing useful is displayed on screen in graphics mode with this laptop, instead it seems like random data pixels and colours end up on the panel.

darktama has debugged this extensively and gave me a patch that produces right results; he has debugging output, edid, etc. so has an idea what's wrong I think

This has been confirmed fixed for a while with commit 2eb92c80074ecfbc691741720382007417f64523.
