It sounds a reasonable solution to that bug. I'd call it sender-nickname (to express that the name is chosen by them and pre-empt the Nicknames interface - insert usual burbling about nicknames vs. petnames vs. identifiers here). Check out my branch. Branch looks good, yes. I don't think this needs spec cabal approval, so just merge it. By "insert usual burbling here" I meant "see Bug #14540 and XEP-0165". Cheers, merged. |
