I am using Arch linux. Sometimes when I press the enter button, SIGQUIT is triggered, and X will "crash," or exit to a tty. Xorg.0.log after the crash: http://pastebin.com/Nsa72iGK

Version of Xorg-server and synaptics:
xorg-server 1.8.1.902-1
xf86-input-synaptics 1.2.2-2

It sounds like your clients are dying; the session dying will take the
server down with it. Have a look at ~/.xsession-errors, or try running
startx by hand.
