Xorg log

Hi,

I bought a HD 5750 today.

When I do a "xrandr --output DVI-1 --rotate right" the X server crashes (I'm back at the login screen after executing that command).
I don't see any errors in the logs after that happens :/

distribution: gentoo
kernel: 2.6.35-gentoo-r8
xorg-server: 1.9.0
radeon: git
mesa: git

If you need any other information let me now.
Thanks for any help provided!

I'll attach a Xorg.0.log with such a crash in it. But like I mentioned before: I cant' see any error in there.

Have you checked the X server's stderr output? It should be captured in the gdm/kdm log file.

I'm using xdm :)

Alex Deucher wrote me an e-mail that I need 2.6.36 (or 2.6.35 with bugfixes) and the evergreen_accel branch from xf86-video-ati because it needs acceleration for the rotation.

I'll give that one a try :)
