I am unable to connect to Yahoo using Empathy and telepathy.haze . Either deleting the file or removing the reference to the "server" parameter fixes the problem.

This also affects to Debian and Fedora, they have solved this simply removing haze.manager file:

In Git master, haze doesn't have a .manager file.
