X server log
I can confirm this error on my system. Also, in my Xorg log it appears as though direct rendring has been enabled, but in reality it hasn't. Verified by glxinfo and glxgears. I am using 6.8.99.3 and via drm 2.7.2 20051022. This is still there in 6.99.99.901. Increasing my shared graphics memory from 32Mb to 64Mb did not help at with playing fullscreen video at 1024x768. For now I am stuck with running X at 800x600 (and 32Mb). Could you try unichrome.sf.net CVS please? module xf86-video-unichrome. That has a completely reworked memory management abstraction. Also, could you provide a log, there seems to be little to nothing in the first log attached here. A badalloc from Xv is usually caused by insufficient bandwidth. There are a number of other Xv bugs in the driver but probably none causing this. Could you try to reset BIOS to "Optimal defaults" and try agian. Did Thomas tip improve anything? XVideo still not working. Does anybody fix this problem? Bugzilla Upgrade Mass Bug Change NEEDSINFO state was removed in Bugzilla 3.x, reopening any bugs previously listed as NEEDSINFO. - benjsc fd.o Wrangler Mass closure: This bug has been untouched for more than six years, and is not obviously still valid. Please reopen this bug or file a new report if you continue to experience issues with current releases. |
