Description Jordan Bradley 2010-10-12 19:06:57 UTC
I am using an EVGA NVidia GT220 video card on Gentoo Linux. I'm using libdrm, mesa and nouveau from the git repositories. At seemingly random times my computer locks up. I can still move the mouse cursor but I can't do anything with what is on the screen. A kernel panic hadn't occurred because I could still SSH into the machine. I thought it was the 3D effects of compiz since I had gallium enabled when I compiled mesa. I switched back to metacity and the desktop still would lock up. Would nouveau be a cause of this? If so what do you need to find the problem and how would I get it?

Thanks.
