I switched from Nvidia to Nouveau driver and I have to say you guys did an amazing job. Thanks a lot. One gripe (aside from slow 3D performance) I have is that it doesn't access the external monitor of that machine. I can enable the external one but it doesn't even recognize that it does get any signal (led does just blink).

I'm going to need a lot more info than you've provided to have any clue about this one. You don't even say *what* card you have!

Can you attach your dmesg output while running the nouveau driver, preferably from after you've tried to attach the external display also.

Thanks.

Xorg log

Don't know why Bugzilla didn't attach the log when I created the bug. Buggy software.

I *think* your problem is probably fixed in nouveau git. It looks like the kernel you're using has a version of nouveau with a display-related regression, that has been fixed for a long time now.

Indeed - I upgraded to 2.6.36 and it's fixed there. Thanks
