I'm going to need a lot more info than you've provided to have any clue about this one. You don't even say *what* card you have! Can you attach your dmesg output while running the nouveau driver, preferably from after you've tried to attach the external display also. Thanks. Created attachment 39610 [details]

Don't know why Bugzilla didn't attach the log when I created the bug. Buggy software.
I *think* your problem is probably fixed in nouveau git. It looks like the kernel you're using has a version of nouveau with a display-related regression, that has been fixed for a long time now. Indeed - I upgraded to 2.6.36 and it's fixed there. Thanks |
