Currently on GDM we need to add a VT manager, to be able to select the first tty that is free and >= 7 (to not stomp on getty).

It’s a bit of a shame since Xorg already has a VT manager to detect which VT to use when launched without a vtX argument.

It would be better if Xorg could be passed a -minvt 7 argument so that it only runs on a free VT without causing trouble if getty is started later on.

Mass closure: This bug has been untouched for more than six years, and is not obviously still valid. Please file a new report if you continue to experience issues with a current server.
