Think so, too On <http://www.documentfoundation.org/contribution/> we should have a link to a short introduction. <http://www.documentfoundation.org/contribution/> should be improved, currently it shows very specific details, but hints for a newbe are missing. Link to Develop page on <http://www.documentfoundation.org/contribution/> is not sufficient, no newcomer will expect beginner hints on a developer page. Hello, I remember David ever provided an up-to-date website days before: http://test.libreoffice.org It is more clear that the qa process is integrated in the 'Get Involved' section :) May I include David to the cc list of this thread for his concern :) Currently, the fastest entry point I see is this: http://www.libreoffice.org/get-involved/qa-testers/ This page is also linked from the download pre-releases page Indeed, not so easy to find. [This is an automated message.] This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases. Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1 more detail on this bulk operation: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/RFC-Operation-Spamzilla-tp3607474p3607474.html This is still valid and number 1 option is still best. Fis for "Bug 35855 - Usability: Add menu item with link to Bug tracking system" will also fix this problem more or less |
