Description Will Thompson 2011-01-07 11:34:34 UTC
The accounts-glib storage backend for MC is named ‘McdAccountManagerSso’, despite nothing named ‘SSO’ being involved. (accounts-glib is produced by the ‘Accounts & SSO’ project; the single sign-on part of the project is signon-glib.)

To avoid confusion, we should rename the plugin for accounts-glib. I suggest ‘McdAccountStorageAg’ or similar (since it implements the ‘AccountStorage’ interface, not some ‘AccountManager’ interface). ‘Ag’ is the namespace prefix used by the accounts-glib library.

(See http://gitorious.org/accounts-sso for the Accounts & SSO project.)

We should probably just get rid of this (pseudo-)plugin, and replace it with one based on the Ubuntu Online Accounts code in Empathy, which is actually somewhat up-to-date with current libaccounts (Bug #66459).

First half of that done for 5.17.0 (Bug #71230). Bug #66459 remains open.
